Voice sexism – it’s a thing: UNESCO claims Siri & Alexa promote gender stereotypes

Automated voice assistants like Siri and Alexa can be a problem – for example, when they fail to do as they’re told or misunderstand what you say.

But UNESCO thinks they’re a bigger problem than that. The educational body of the UN – in a new 150-page report – is raising the sexism alarm claiming that these robotic helpers, promote gender stereotypes
