Donald Trump’s weekends at Mar-a-Lago have cost the American taxpayers $3 million a week, adding up to $156 million if this continues for the duration of the administration.
Trump promised during his presidential campaign that he “would rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done” and vowed that he “would not be a president who took vacations”; however he has spent 7 weekends since his inauguration at Trump-branded properties.

On top of those exorbitant costs, the County of Palm Beach in Florida is also being forced to spend millions to secure Trump and his for-profit
