First, do not eat corn or beets for a week before the test. After this time, choose and eat one of them.
Eat a cup of cooked corn or beet, about an hour away from other foods.
Take note of the date and time you ate. Now pay attention to changes in your stool and note the date and time you went to the bathroom for the first time. If you eliminate between 12 and 48 hours, your gut is healthy!
But if it’s shorter or longer than that, as we mentioned before, it’s worth consulting a gastroenterologist to investigate the cause and start treatment.
