The head of Germany’s federal police has voiced concern over ‘rising levels of far-right hate speech’. He’s warned it ‘could be leading to the formation of new extremist groups and terrorist cells’ in the country.
German authorities registered over 8,600 ‘right-wing extremist offences’ in the first half of 2019. That’s 900 more than during the same period in 2018.
