During the Senate Intelligence Hearing involving former FBI director James Comey, Senator John McCain introduced a line of questioning that pandered to Donald Trump’s base, but crossed the line into alternative facts when he conflated 2 separate events in order to create a narrative about Hillary Clinton.
When McCain began questioning Comey, he started off with the subject of Clinton’s email server debacle that was settled by the FBI in July of last year. McCain claimed Comey said “there wasn’t sufficient evidence to bring a suit against [Clinton] although it had been very careless in their behavior.”
In a confusing run-on sentence, McCain went on to say to Comey: “…but you did reach a conclusion in that case that it was not necessary to further pursue her, yet at the same time in thepost was originally published on this site
